Kya is a 3 year old female currently located in Wisconsin.

Kya has a title in Dock Diving and loves to rock the dock - the challenge is keeping her focus as her love for the sport gets her amped up.  She has a real aptitude for finding her hidden toys.   She has completed a Nosework class and is currently in an obedience class. She has SO much natural ability, but as mentioned, her intensity means she will need someone that can keep her focused.

She is very sweet and loving and wants to please.  She is cautious of strangers and is especially shy of men but once properly introduced, warms up to them. 

She is good with other dogs but we think she will be happiest in a home as an only dog.  She has prey drive so not a good candidate for a family with cats.

She still gets a little rambunctious when grabbing for toys and is mouthy like a typical Malinois so she will not go to a home with small children.

She is crate trained and house trained. 

When she gets very excited, she sometimes forgets her manners and jump on people. Her foster mom continues to work on these things. She is very smart and an amazing problem solver. She is also very food motivated and wants to please her person so enjoys training.

On a Malinois scale of 1 - 10, she has an energy level of a 6 or 7 so long as she gets some physical and mental activity, she is easy to live with. She is very athletic and can jump very high! She loves hiking and would make someone a great running partner. But more than anything, she loves being with her people and is happy to sit and chew on a bone while watching a movie or reading a book.

Kya thrives in an environment with structure and routine and will do best with a family that has a desire to nurture her confidence through continued training and sport activities.
