About Milly P Hope - TX | |

Meet Milly P Hope the wonder tripod! Located in Colorado.
1.5 years old female, 40lbs,
This amazing little girl was found dragging herself along a busy TX highway in the freezing rain with a badly injured rear leg. Sadly, her leg couldn’t be saved, but it hasn’t slowed her down a bit! This girl has LOTS of energy and no problem navigating life on 3 legs. She can go up and down stairs, ride in a car and is working on swimming and the beginnings of dock diving! (You can see her more of her videos on our YouTube Channel.)
Milly is good with dogs and cats and lives with both. She is crate trained, housetrained, good on leash, knows basic commands of no, sit, come, leave it, out, potty, and wait. Good off leash, staying close to her person and coming when called. She is a velcro dog who loves "her" person, she is not pleased if she can't go. She has no reaction to loud noises, vaccumn cleaners, thunder etc.
She is fearless and tackles any situation head on. No food or toy aggression, but can be protective of her territory and will react to strangers and other dogs. She is accepting with proper introduction. She isn't reccomended for a family with young children.
Milly is a talker and won't hesitate to let you know what she thinks about something, all you have to do is ask her! She loves to play ball and will happily play fetch until you are tired. She loves to play keep away from her foster brother and is quite agile and fast on 3 legs. She has learned to jump and can easily get in and out of the truck she loves to ride in.
She will be an excellent candidate for advanced obedience training and has a fabulous nose and inquisitive nature. Milly needs an active family but will not be a good fit for lots of running or hard hiking. She needs a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time. She is good in her crate but too active and young to spend long periods alone or contained. She shouldn't be left outside unattended due to her mischievous puppy ways.
Milly needs an experienced home and continued attention and time to learn. She would be happy as an only dog or with another dog. She will not be a large dog, probably about 45 lbs. Making her an excellent candidate for a traveling companion. She is very short haired with a coat that is easy to maintain.
