Lambeau is an almost 6 year old soft & fluffy gentleman. He has been diagnosed with chronic dry eye, his vision is that of a pin hole. He does require optical care 4-6 times a day, less then 2 minutes with each application of drops or ointment. He enjoys his eye care time, he will sit or lay down once he hears “let’s do your eyes”.
His house manners are wonderful, no counter surfing, no rambunctious indoor play, however he loves to trot around occasionally with a squeaky toy, potty trained, will not jump on furniture unless invited up, He prefers to be with his person whether lounging on the floor in the same room or snuggled up next to you. He is very obedient, & knows his basic commands. He has shown interest in the garbage can, a simple locking lid and all good.
Lambeau is comfortable in a crate if needed and respects gates, again only if needed not required. 
He enjoys playing fetch, tossing a toy is more his speed with his impaired vision. A few play times a day for 10 minutes and he is done.
He enjoys being groomed and having his nails done as well. He will alert to a knock on the door or doorbell, he will greet a stranger cautiously but warms up quickly. Due to his visual impairment it’s best to allow him to hear their voice and given a verbal command such as “friend say hello“. After the introduction chances are your guest will receive a paw and a wet kiss.
If a stranger approaches unannounced, he will go into Malinois protect mode however he settles quickly, again a verbal “friend say hello”.
Lambeau bonds very quickly to his person & due to his  attentive nature would do best in a single dog household with only adults or older children  An accidental poke in the eye by a child could provoke an unwanted reaction from him. He does show kindness towards my cat, a few licks and ear cleanings are done often.
He is an excellent back seat driver, travels well.
At his recent visit to Ohio State University Optometry department   he received rave reviews from the staff as to his behavior. 

Lambeau requires a fenced yard and would do best in a home with minimal stairs.  We are considering relatively local adoptive homes only.  Given Lambeau's medical condition he will need a family with someone home most of the time to attend to his frequent medication schedule.  Please contact Marcia at abmr4life@gmail.com for additional information.
