Medical Updates:

Justine has arthritis and a growth on her leg that cannot be removed. It is unclear (after testing) what the growth is (contact Justine's coordinator for more information), but she seems to be a happy girl no matter what. She is neutral with the cats in her current home, and she gets along well with a Labrador. Justine is on pain medication and supplements for her arthritis, and those will need to be continued in her adoptive home. 

7/26/24:  Justine is back in rescue through no fault of her own and needs a forever home. (Justine's adopter took on a new job and no longer has the time for her.) 

This sweet girl just wants to be with her person. She is neutral with other dogs once she has time to decompress. Justine is working to lose weight and rebuild muscle because her exercise needs were not fully met at her first home. She is regaining her stamina, but too much too fast can cause her to experience joint pain as she works to regain her strength and agility. As with many Malinois, she may mask that pain, so her future home needs to remember that slow and steady wins the race. 

She is beginning to notice small, moving critters, so she will need a watchful eye and a leash as she recovers and finds her true Malinois self once again. Justine needs to work on her name and her recall, but she does respond when her foster mom whistles for her. 

Finally, Justine LOVES to snuggle and expects you to share the couch. Are you a work from home human? Well, expect Justine to bring toys or her head and place them in your lap. She will want you to remember she is there and ready for love!

Justine is a very sweet girl who loves all people. She has always been good with other dogs, but when she was about to have puppies, she got growly towards any dogs who came near her.

Sadly, Justine lost her entire litter to unknown causes.

Justine needs to learn leash manners and basic obedience.
