Hi!  My name is Maximus.   I am a 6 year old neutered male currently located in sunny Florida.

I am a delightful roommate as I am house trained, crate trained and I ride well in the car.   I aim to please and know basic commands like sit, down, and am pretty good at my recall.   I will work for food and toys - we could have a lot of fun learning new things.   I have a gift for using my nose and I would love to try nose work, tracking, or barn hunts.

I was told that I have something called heartworms and I am going through treatment.   I am doing really well, I will just need to be kept quiet until I am cleared by my doctor for Malinois-intense exercise.

I am appropriate around people and dogs and am a good boy when at the vet.   I feel most comfortable with a confident handler who will set clear boundaries and who is interested in developing a deep, forever relationship with me and ready to commit the time I need for mental and physical exercise (after getting the green light from my doctor).

I can feel anxious when left alone so would prefer to find a forever family that works from home or that can take me with them.
