Lula is being fostered in North Carolina.

Lula is a pure Belgian Malinois female around two-three years of age. She was pulled from a rural shelter in North Carolina where she had been taken in as a stray, over two weeks earlier.

After rescue from the shelter, she was seen by veterinarians and it was learned that she was previously spayed. She was vaccinated and tested for heartworm disease and is negative. Lula is 100% healthy and ready to go to her forever home as soon as possible. She is up to date on all her vaccinations.

Lula currently is being fostered by a veterinarian and her husband who live on a small farm. She gets along great with dogs and cats, does not chase chickens or horses, and is generally good with all animals. We don’t have any children, so that is an unknown.

She has excellent manners in the house and is 100% housebroken and will alert you when she needs to go out!! She is doing well with crate training. She’s a smart cookie and learns quickly. She is respectful on leash and knows her basic obedience, sit, come, leave it, down, stay.
That said, while we feel crate training is an important skill for all dogs and cats, Lula has perfect house manners and can be left alone without any problem.

While living on the farm, Lula has learned to ride next to us on the Ranger (like a four wheeler, see photo), and she loves tooling around the farm. Lula respects a 4 foot fence that surrounds our backyard that is comprised of both wood and poultry netting which is electric.  
Like most Maligators, Lula has extremely high energy and a high ball drive. She will chase a ball for hours. That said, she is quiet in the house and is happy to just lay on the dog bed and chew a bone or lay in my home office doorway while I work. But if you are on the couch, she would like to sit up there with you especially if you will rub her belly!

Because she is quickly getting attached to her fosters, Lula really needs to find her furever home as soon as possible. She would do well in a home with other animals but likely will be just as happy as the only dog where she is the center of attention. This girl is everything Malinois in a medium sized package.♥️
