Poppy was born about 8-20-2023 and was found in a dumpster in Houston. She has settled into being a happy & healthy puppy and is ready for her forever home.

Poppy has quite a personality! She is poppy! She LOVES all people big and small, loves other dogs and wants to be friends with all. She is fearless, curious and has a good drive for sports and a good off switch. She is happy to hang out and play quietly with her toys or join in playing, running & exploring with her foster sister and brother. She lives with 2 cats that she gets along with just fine. She loves her foster sister and brother. She has no fear of water and will soon be swimming, she LOVES to play fetch and has even learned to bring it back!! She could spend hours playing with a flirt pole too! She can be a little bossy and won’t hesitate to let you know when she’s displeased with your decision with lots of barks. Poppy knows all the basics and is house trained, crate trained, started on leash, knows lots of commands like “don’t chase the cat” “don’t chew up my flip flop” and “NO” stop that LOL!! But seriously she sits and waits for her food, sits and waits to be let out of her crate, is learning not to door dash, knows down and is currently very food motivated. She loves to ride in the car and considers car rides as a way to get to her next adventure. She is anxious to start learning new things. Poppy will make an active family a great companion or even as a single dog, I think she would do well with all the attention. Poppy adapts easily and doesn’t hesitate to jump right into a new adventure. She needs a structured and knowledgeable home that will be willing to work with her and give her a “job”. A busy Malinois is a happy Malinois!! I don’t consider Poppy to be a candidate for SAR or any intense type of training, but have no doubt that she can do very well at any thing her family wishes her to do.
