Ranger is located in New York.

Ranger is a 9 year old male located in New York looking for his forever home. Ranger's story is a little sad... a few months ago his owner was forced to surrender him to rescue due to losing her home. She had owned him since he was 8 months old. Although this was a pretty big shock for Ranger at his age he has thrived in his foster home and is now looking for a home of his own where he will be able to stay for the rest of his life.

Ranger is very friendly and does well with all people. Very young children may be a little much for him (he is an older gentleman after all) but older kids are ok. Overall, Ranger would prefer to go to a quiet home though. Something in the country would be perfect!

Ranger really likes his peace and quiet, and would do best as the only dog in the home or with perhaps one other (calm) senior companion. Young, boisterous roommates who want to play all the time will not be a good fit for him. He will feel intimidated and try to protect himself. Ranger has quite a bit of prey drive so no cats please.

Ranger is in good health for his age and UTD on shots and HW preventative. His teeth are a bit worn down from a lifetime love of carrying around and shredding dimensional lumber, but according to the vet they don't bother him at all. He has a moderate energy level and still enjoys going for walks with his foster siblings (Ranger is the dog in front in the pictures).
