Zoe is a lovely five to seven year old Malinois who is very sweet and eager to please. She enjoys being engaged and playing, but also enjoys relaxing and being calm.  She was adored by her former owner, a gentleman who adopted her from ABMR several years back, but unfortunately he has suffered a severe medical setback from which he will not recover and he had to surrender her back to ABMR to find a new home.  She was the center of his world and lived just with him. Before she was surrendered back she spent several months at his home, living by herself, with neighbors coming in to feed her. During that time, she gained a lot of weight, which she has been steadily losing. She is currently in a foster home with an older male Malinois. She can be pushy with him but they are still friends. Her dedicated foster parents have been working on her weight loss while also getting her the exercise she craved.  She loves playing tug and playing fetch.  She loves going for walks. She is so good on a leash you could almost walk her with dental floss- until she sees a rabbit.  She enjoys hanging out in the yard with her family and giving hugs. And of course she enjoys an occasional snack.  She seems to have a somewhat manageable prey drive,  but she should not be loose with cats or chickens or anything like that. She is quick to jump in the truck to go for a ride. She can be  trusted, unsupervised, in the house and she has perfect house manners. Her most unusual quality is that she bites her nails, and keeps them perfectly trimmed. (True statement.) She’s a talker with a whole array of sounds to communicate with you in an adorable way. She’s a total love and she would love to come to your home to just be with you. That’s her dream.
