VERO BEACH, FLORIDA

Zelda just turned 3 years old, weighs 48 lbs, and stands 22" tall. She is very food, ball, and tug motivated, super high-drive, and needs a person who can give her a full-time job; she is AKC registered, out of working lines from the Netherlands.

TRAINING: Zelda loves to train, and currently has her TD title, 2 legs on Beginner Novice, and would have passed her nose work ORD test, but missed the first scent due to handler error. In Open Obedience she is trained on everything but drop on recall.  Still working on Command Discrimination. In Utility, she is solid on articles, doing nicely on directed retrieve. Go Outs are good, but "sit" is still a work in progress. Directed jumping is coming along nicely.  Zelda loves tracking and pulls like a sled dog. She was instinct-tested on sheep, and has a strong herding instinct.

Bottom line: she loves training and NEEDS TO WORK.

Her areas that need work and ongoing training: Zelda has exhibited leash reactivity in her home territory - lunging and barking aggressively at passers-by. Outside of her home area, these issues are not so severe.

Zelda is very good in the house and is crate-trained. She is extremely affectionate with her people. Not good around cats or small dogs, and we are not sure how she would be around children since she has never been around them. At the dog park, she can be selective.

Overall, Zelda is a beautiful, loving dog who would be awesome in any sport, including Agility, Fly Ball, Tracking, Herding, and Obedience.
