OK so my assessment of Max the Malinois is as follows He has fence aggression but he is kept in a pin during the day while the owner is at work. He stays in their non fenced in farm yard when lose He does play rough with dogs that don’t put him in his place but he does just fine with large dogs male or female. He has learned not to bother the out door cats any longer however they do not run from him any longer either. He has months of work on that. It took him about 10 min or so before he would allow me to pet him after being out of the pin. Inside the pin he tucked his tail and barked and growled (growling quietly) however I feel he felt like a cornered raccoon in the pin. He comes when called he knows his basic commands and after almost an hr with him I could not see any reason why he couldn’t go into a home. He is VERY over weight. He runs along an ATV in the evenings but still is over weight. He has been kept as an outside dog because she has 2 house dogs and 2 house cats the dogs being smaller. I do not think he would do well with small dogs at the this time he has the potential to be homed with one as long as he hand training. He did everything I asked him even knew things. He doesn’t like his paws or back of his legs near his butt touched. I don’t see any reason why he couldn’t be placed with children. I know her concern was about her children and grandchildren but they don’t live there so I think he would just be fine. I feel he is low energy. Checking his teeth I would say he is just over a year now. He is super sweet and wanting to please. He seemed to have a wobble to his back legs but after getting home and watching my guy who is just fine has that also when walking but not as noticeable. I think due to his weight it’s more notable. If I forgot anything I will add it
ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.
