Hot rods back story. 
He showed up on the front door step of a home over a week ago, they fed him and tried to find his owners. AC was aware. Finally the home owner said he didn’t want the dog has to many of his own, so he was picked up
For the 72 hour hold last Monday. On Tuesday a Hispanic family called and said the dog was theirs and told a long story but it was determined that they lived on the other side of
Town across a major hiway, no way a puppy would make it that far and they had no proof of ownership. So they were told that the dog now belongs to the city since the hold was up and they dog was going to rescue. So I show up at the shelter and right behind me a whole Hispanic 
Family arrives and is standing behind me. I’m ushered in, they were left outside. Staff explains and ask if I can hangout until they can get rid of the family. Which they did and they made sure the coast was clear for me to get to my truck with the pooper. 
My guess he was the  last of a litter that couldn’t be sold and was dumped. It’s a really rough neighborhood around there, lucky the poor guy even made it.
