Elvis is ready for his very own forever home in a breed-experienced home that will provide him with a job!   He is a one-yr old neutered male, social and friendly with adults and other dogs.  He was a stray from Memphis, and after only one day in ABMR, his foster was gushing about how phenomenal this guy was!!!  Elvis started training for FEMA SAR and was rocking it---but soon after started having chronic respiratory issues which turned out to be dog flu.  He seems to have made a full recovery but he needed to be moved to a new foster and is now working with a trainer.

Elvis is sweet, playful, loving, and goofy at times.  He is just a pup, so he can be boisterous and exuberant and is still learning some manner like not to counter surf or jump up to give kisses!  He is very mouthy, especially when first coming out of his crate or when he gets over stimulated.   He likes to bite on your arm and not let go—not aggressive, but it can still hurt.  He is learning an “out” and how not to bite, but he will not be place with children. 

Elvis does not like crates too much but will crate although he will protest a little. He can climb out of a kennel if there is not a cover on it.  A physical fence is preferred, but he will need supervision since he can jump/climb very high.  Elvis loves spending time with his family and gets frustrated when he can’t be with his people or train.  He loves to work!!

Elvis has some basic obedience down and is learning to walk nice on lead.  He loves to ride in the car.   He has a decent off-leash recall as well if you are engaged with him.  He is very energetic and athletic.  He is house trained as well, and previously ignored farm animals, although he has tried to chase cats with intent. No cats.

Elvis is super smart and biddable loves to learn, and is ready to title in Rally, and could be a high-scoring obedience prospect.   He would rock an agility field or maybe even dock diving!   He would be a very impressive demo dog for a trainer.  He has awesome hunt drive, so maybe SAR (HRD), bedbug or narcotics detection—but will need to be handler-owned. Basically, Elvis needs a job!  He is a very good natured, confident, social pup that will shine in the right home.
