Introducing Hank! He is currently residing with his foster family in the Dallas area and in search of a forever home. This boy may have had a rough start to life but, as his namesake said, a country boy can survive and he is not only surviving, but thriving! Due to nerve damage from an unknown injury, he did recently have his front leg amputated but don’t think for a moment that it has slowed him down. 
Hank is an active 6 month old boy who loves to explore, romp in the water, and play fetch. He prefers a slow introduction with new dogs but, once proper introductions are made he loves canine friends and plays well with his 4 foster siblings. He will chase cats if the opportunity arises but is not aggressive with them, and is responsive when told “leave it”. While he is not out in the yard while the chickens free range, he has learned to ignore them when they are in their coop. He adores children, and is very friendly and outgoing with new visitors in his foster home and strangers when he is out and about. He potty trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and will be actively working on proper leash training as he continues to recover from his surgery. 
This wonderful, loving boy would do well in an active home with an individual or family that can continue with his training and bring him along for outdoor adventures, car rides, and fun activities!
