Meet ABMR MagPie (Maggie)! She is a sweet girl looking for her very own forever home. She is about 2 years old and would thrive as an only pet in an active home although she also can go to a home with other dogs.   When she first came into Rescue, she was labeled “dog reactive”  as she was showing aggression to the other dog in the household, so she was moved to long-term boarding.  With careful integration and management, she has started to play with other dogs (see video).   Our MagPie is affectionate and loves her people and attaches close to them and also seems to like children (older than 10).   She can be placed in a home with other dogs as long as you are patient and experienced enough to separate and manage with very slow (think a few weeks) integration.  Similar sized dogs, probably and easy going male would be best, but she does play hard like a Malinois!  While she does not have a lot of drive, she is very energetic and can be intense. She would be great as a running/hiking partner and then snuggles on the sofa! A physical fence is recommended for Maggie unless you can always supervise and provide the needed training and stimulation..  Maggie is in Central Ohio but travels well so reasonable transportation is available.  She is currently with a professional trainer who is working on manners and obedience with her. She is houses and crate trained.  I am confident that the perfect forever home is out there for her and in the right home, this active and affectionate dog has the potential to be that once-in-a-lifetime heart dog!
