Rico is a 4.5 year old male that was pulled from a shelter in Maryland after his owner turned him in weighing 41 lbs. Thanks to a wonderful volunteer network, ABMR was able to pull him and get him to a wonderful foster mom! Rico is now housetrained and learning to live with both male and female dogs and has even been introduced to a rabbit! He gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks! He now looks healthy and happy!
Rico does well with other dogs and LOVES to play ball. Despite being emaciated, he takes treats very gently. He is said to have lived with a young child but his excitement for toys may be too much for kids under 8.
Rico is waiting to be neutered and will not be placed until after February 28th.
