Pippy (aka Bella), was found running up the side of a major road with another female. She is a sweet and spicy 1 year old. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Seems to be house trained…no accidents, but she’s in and out a lot. I would not leave her alone in the house yet as she will get into things when left unattended for too long. She warms up quickly with proper introductions. She wants to get comfortable before she allows you to pet her. She is good about bath time, learning to stay still for nails and brushing. At the vet she was muzzled and did wonderful. She is not fond of her hind end being touched too much, but we are working on this.Bella has over the top food drive and will work to get it. She knows sit, down, center, spin, yours and mine and working on basic position. She is learning to walk on the leash is coming along nicely. She loves to run and would do maybe could do Fast CAT or something geared towards running. At times i think she is part greyhound! Lol Her recall is pretty good even with a few distractions. She is very handler focused (she knows who has the food!) Bella is indifferent to our male dogs most of the time or wants to play without them touching her. She does not get along with my alpha female but has met and seemed fine with a more submissive female. She has also met the resident cat and did not chase him. I think she would do well with a dog savvy cat and proper training. She is wild for a few minutes when she comes out of the kennel but settles nicely. She does not like another dog near her crate and will express her dislike. At night she has her kong and chill time and when she’s ready for bed and a handful of kibble goes to her crate. She is usually quiet in her crate and if not, you can tell her quiet and she settles. Personal space is also being taught. She has been introduced to water, and with more time, I feel she’ll love it. She might be good with scent work also as she loves to search for food. She's pretty confident with encouragement to try new things such as agility (ladders, hurdles, tunnel). This girl is so smart and would love a home where she can have lots of activity and love. If you had a fenced-in yard that would be a plus.

If she seems like your kind of girl, fill out her adoption application
