Leroy Brown came to ABMR with a broken leg at 4 months old. He has now been released from the doctor and is ready to find his forever home. 

He is a friendly 7 month old that still needs guidance in appropriate interactions like most at this age. 

Leroy is dog, cat and chicken friendly with supervision. He is a lovable, excitable boy that greets with a happy bark. He is confident and excited, but still needs controlled introductions and continued socialization in public. 

Now that he is medically cleared, Leroy Brown has shown a higher energy level. He loves to be outdoors running with his ball. At this age, he requires toys and mental stimulation inside to keep him busy, but settles down indoors, and in the kennel.

Leroy Brown knows basic commands but will require continued reinforcement. He highly motivated by treats and toys. His favorites are peanut butter and a kong ball.

He mostly accident-free inside when loose in the home, still learning to signal for potty breaks. He has not destroyed anything in the home, but does enjoy trying to play fetch with cat toys. 

He is kennel trained and happily goes in with treats. He sleeps quietly in his kennel at night, but is also able to sleep in bed with his people. He kennels well with a bed.

Leroy can be sneaky sometimes and will try to counter surf so far stealing a jicama and a banana, so indoor supervision and continued training is required. 

Leroy would do well in an active home with or without other dogs. He enjoys one-on-one time and is entertained by toys and treats. He does enjoy the company of other animals, but another dog is not a must.

Leroy Brown has a plate in his leg from the break repair. At 9 months, he can have the plate removed and will be neutered. This will be paid for by ABMR.
