Max, currently located in south central Pennsylvania is ready for adoption. 

Max is an amazing dog. He's handsome, sweet and affectionate. He likes everyone. He's athletic and a super fast runner. We have had Max as foster to adopt, and we are so sad that it's not going to work out for us, because of his strong prey drive. 

Max will do best in a home with a large fenced yard, and another malinois to play with, because he has a lot of energy. He might do better without young children as he doesn't always know his own strength. The foster home has been working with him a bit on nose work, and he seems to have a lot of potential for that. He would also do well with agility. He is super smart. He knows all the commands, and while here he's learned "check your bowl" for food or treats and "do you want to go back" to initiate a u-turn on a walk. He will enjoy an active home where someone is around most of the time. 

Max has perfect house manners, knows all his commands, and will maintain a down-stay even when you are out of sight. He gets excited on walks and can pull a bit on the leash, but when pressed he can heel. He's not much of a barker, except when he has something important to say. This dog has so much potential. We have no idea how he came to be a stray and to then come into rescue. We wish we could keep him. We were told he was three years old, but we suspect he may be younger, as he sometimes still chases his tail.
